Gerry Kelly

Gerry Kelly graduated L.L.B with Honours from Glasgow University and is the holder of a Diploma in Legal Practice. He has been a solicitor for over 40 years.

For over 20 years Gerry tutored at a number of Universities in a variety of subjects. He was also a University lecturer and marked exam papers. He is now an External Examiner.

Gerry delivers training courses to trainee solicitors. He has also written courses and training materials for postgraduate Law students and Professional Competency Courses for trainee solicitors.

Gerry specialises in Housing Law and has a wealth of experience in representing clients at court in contentious housing cases. As a result of his knowledge of Housing Law, he has been invited by the Glasgow Bar Association to lecture to other solicitors on this subject.

A keen tennis player, Gerry has played tennis for Scotland, and has won the British Seniors Doubles and been runner up in the singles at the British Seniors Championships and at Wimbledon doubles. 

Katie Young

Katie has been employed by Kelly & Co since 2023. Katie joined the firm as a legal assistant, providing support to the solicitors in relation to drafting documents, managing the court diary and dealing with client enquiries. Katie is now a Trainee Solicitor. She is the first point of contact for any new clients and has a friendly approach when assisting clients in updating them on their cases.

Katie has an LLB degree with Honours and has also completed her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. Katie is committed to providing clients with straightforward legal advice and has a kind and sensitive approach to all clients. 

Katie is a qualified dance coach and coaches children of a variety of ages for national competitions, and until recently competed in competitions across the UK!
